Quality Instruction
My goal is to provide a high-quality musical experience for students of all levels. The core of the studio program is private lessons, using the Suzuki method. There is no better motivation than mastering skills and expressing beautiful music!
Supportive Environment
Involvement and support from parents, encouragement from fellow students, and an atmosphere of positivity and joy motivates students to reach their potential. Recitals are a time of celebration and sharing of solo and group pieces!
family involvement
Suzuki parents have the incredible privilege of being part of the learning triangle. As such, they attend all lessons and group classes and serve as the “home teacher” for their child. By nurturing an enjoyment of music, spending time with their child, and providing a positive environment, parents give their children a gift that will benefit them for their whole lives.
Studio Community
Learning is enhanced with bi-weekly group classes where students build relationships and learn from others in a fun group environment while preparing group pieces for recitals, developing ensemble skills and musicianship, and perfecting technique.
step-by-step learning
New techniques and concepts are introduced in an orderly and organic manner. Each new piece adds only a small amount of new information, so there’s time to master skills and perfect what was learned previously. Rather than learning a piece and being done with it, the Suzuki approach encourages regular review of previous pieces, acknowledging that the more times skills are practiced, the easier they become.
Suzuki and Beyond
As a certified Suzuki teacher (and former Suzuki student), I’ve seen first-hand the power of the Suzuki approach. Advanced students progress to the great concertos, sonatas, and other masterworks of classical repertoire.
